PORTFOLIO: ANDY FLYNN

Andy Flynn lives in Saranac Lake, N.Y. In 2003, he began writing a weekly, syndicated column, “Adirondack Attic,” for several newspapers in northern New York. In 2004, he founded Hungry Bear Publishing and began publishing a book series, "New York State’s Mountain Heritage: Adirondack Attic." For the column’s material, he works with curators at the Adirondack Museum in Blue Mountain Lake to tell human-interest stories about the facility’s artifact collections. During the day, Flynn is the Senior Public Information Specialist for the New York State Adirondack Park Agency Visitor Interpretive Centers in Paul Smiths and Newcomb. He is also a freelance writer, editor, photographer and public relations consultant.
